Roof replacement cost in New Hampshire

Nationally, a 2,000 sq ft roof in architectural asphalt shingles runs $8,000 to $12,000 installed. New Hampshire's roofers earn +7.9% against the US median, which moves the labor part of that price; town permit fees then come from each town's own schedule.

A second benchmark

Remodeling's 2025 Cost vs Value report prices fixed-specification jobs nationally and by region. “Roofing Replacement, Asphalt Shingles”: $31,850 national, $35,700 New England; “Roofing Replacement, Metal”: $51,850 national, $56,300 New England. They describe one particular job each, so they are a cross-check on direction, not an input to the estimates here. Source.

How the estimate is built

Installed price per square foot of roof × size gives the national range. The labor part of that range ($1.5–$3 per sq ft) is multiplied by the local labor index. Materials stay at the national price. Tear off the old roof is an optional add-on priced at $1–$5 per sq ft, all labor. The methodology has every source and formula.
